This workshop invites Queer, Gender Non-Conforming and Trans embodiment, curiosity and creativity. Holding those ideas within the 2SLGBTQIA+ lens, these states of being can lead to the cultivation of community, trust and resilience. Sid employs a care-centered approach that provides agency to participants, inviting folx to explore together, and to discover and co-create in a nourishing, connective and celebratory environment. Practicing this method cultivates awareness and empathy, ultimately increasing well-being and resilience. Through collaborative movement, image-capturing, writing, sound- based, and relationship building activities, folx will learn and practice new ways of creating and expressing personally and in relation with others. The Queers will recognize the dancing artist within them, sourcing the Conscious Bodies Method created by Andrea Nann by facilitator Sid Ryan Eilers.
