Tendrils

Imagine

A constellation of creative thoughts

That seek us out and land on our bodies

Magneting to us like starbursts of acuity

Filling the empty spaces in which we are ghost

With galaxies of intelligence

Tendrils is the first in a series of works that express how worlds open when we notice, receive and give — to the matrix of nurture that is readily available in our immediate and distant communities. Works that express art as medicine for the healer in each of us.

In this solo, Ziyian Kwan uses her signature imagery and shape-shifting presence to pay homage to artists: their inspirational writings, teachings, and practices that are living tool-kits for survival and hope.
