In perpetual motion that is part of our immense privilege as first world creatives, we work with core teams on a project basis. Some artists join us regularly and others occasionally.
Here are just a few of the creatives we’re in relationship with, in addition to many whom we acknowledge on other pages of this site, for their glorious artistry and contributions.
Artistic Director
Ziyian (she/her) is a Chinese Filipina settler, dance artist and the founding Artistic Director of Odd Meridian Arts. She visions and stewards our programming in collaboration with artists and communities.
Publicist, Production and Administrative Assistant, Morrow Host
Allie (she/her) is an emerging dance artist of Dutch Indonesian heritage who has worked with Odd Meridian since 2023 as in-house publicist, event host and venue operations staff. This season Allie also participates as creator and performer in our paid residence program Impromptu.
Residence Artist, Co-Producer,
Juolin (she/her) is a Taiwanese Canadian dance artist who, since 2019, has worked with us in multiple roles, always with astute attention to detail and trademark enthusiasm.
Chorographer, Performer, Facilitator
Shion (she/they) is an emerging Japanese Canadian Dance artist who has worked with Odd Meridian since 2019 as commissioned creator, performer, workshop teacher and residence artist. This season we look forward to presenting the world premiere of Shion’s first ensemble work.
Creation and Production Assistant, Performer
Kaya (she/they) is an emerging Japanese Filipina dance artist who began working with Odd Meridian in 2024. Her generous acuity is a cherished asset.

Alyssa (they/them) is an emerging dance artist of Filipinx and German-Italian descent who whose work we’ve presented as part of DIV at Morrow 2024 and ahmm 2024. We’re excited to welcome Alyssa as paid Artist in Residence this year, as part of Verve.

Sophie (she/they) is a Michif/Assiniboine & European dance artist who will be paid Artist in Residence with us this year, as part of Verve.
Artist in Residence
Simran (she/her) is a South Asian dance artist and actor whose work we’ve presented as part of DIV at Morrow 2024 and who will be paid Artist in Residence this year, as part of Verve.
Accessibility Consultant
Harmanie (she/her) is a disabled dance artist and white settler of Dutch, Lithuanian, and Scottish descent. She was a resident artist with us in 2022, and this year, we're grateful to have her support in nurturing accessible, creative, and physical spaces.
Lighting Designer, Technician
Chengyan (he/him) is Canadian of Singaporean Peranakan Hong Kong Chinese heritage. Since 2022, Chengyan has been our go-to lighting designer and technical director who we rely on for collaborative input.
Technical Director, Lighting Designer, Production Manager
Christian (they/them) is an emerging Filipinx producer, lighting designer, scenographer, and technical director. Christian is a valued team member who supports myriad production and technical roles at Morrow including Asian Heritage Month at Morrow.
Co-creator, Performer
Marisa (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist of African and European heritage. Marisa has collaborated with Odd Meridian as a cultural connector, residence artist and dancer since 2020. Marisa recently co-created and perform a full-length dance work that we presented at Morrow.
Composer, Performer
Kage (they/he/she) is a Japanese Canadian Taiko artist who has worked with us across multiple projects since 2015. Their Taiko art is integral to our annual Spells performances.
Production Assistant, Graphic Artist, Creative Consultant
Kelly (she/her) is a queer dance artist and settler of Irish, Scottish and British ancestry. Since 2016, they have been a trusted creative consultant who also attends to a plethora of production minutiae.
Multimedia Designer
Ahmed (he/him) is an Egyptian-Canadian designer and musician. He is Odd Meridian's webmaster and graphic designer.
We are lucky to work with many volunteers who, in exchange for performance tickets or studio space at Morrow, support with myriad tasks. It’s a really sweet way for us to get to know people and build trade economy together!
