What happens when the body stops pretending and starts remembering?
Kiss The Stormy Sky is an emotionally potent and visually compelling solo dance-theatre work by Sid Ryan Eilers (they/them), exploring queer lineage, ancestral memory, and gender transformation. Spanning the Russian Revolution, World War II, and the #MeToo era, the performance weaves together four generations of Eilers’ family—great-great grandfather, grandmother, mother, and self—through choreography, storytelling, and vivid projection.
Blurring boundaries between past and present, myth and memory, this interdisciplinary work invites audiences into an intimate act of witnessing. The piece features original cinematic music by Queer Black artist Shn Shn (she/they), with visuals and lighting that echo the ritual of remembering and reclaiming.
